The Rogersville, Tennessee school assemblies addressed issues of drug abuse, suicide, and wise decision-making to be winners in the game of life. Speaking to a total of over 3,000 middle and high school students, the assemblies proved to be a transformative event for students and the broader school community. By providing valuable information, personal stories, and thought-provoking discussions, each assembly not only shed light on the potential consequences of negative choices but also encouraged a collective commitment to building a healthier, more supportive environment.

The assemblies commenced with a poignant discussion on the repercussions of drug abuse. Guest speakers, including former addicts, victims of domestic violence, and survivors, shared their personal stories, illustrating the devastating effects of substance misuse. Through their narratives, students were provided with an unvarnished view of the dangerous path that drug dependency can lead to, inspiring them to take proactive measures to avoid such pitfalls.

There were dozens of students who were responsive to the assembly messages and sought counsel from school personnel to seek help. One principal said it was the most effective school assembly she had ever witnessed.
